WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Digital 4th coalition released the following statement after the Omnibus Bill includes Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) reform language to protect Americans’ digital rights:

“We applaud Congress for including ECPA reform language in the Omnibus Bill. This is an important statement that Congress is overwhelmingly in favor of the privacy rights of email users. That’s not surprising given that current reform proposals have more than 300 co-sponsors. The next step is a vote before the House Judiciary Committee and the full Congress on the Email Privacy Act.”
