WASHINGTON, D.C. —The Digital 4th coalition released the following statement in response to today’s announcement that the House Judiciary Committee will hold a markup for the Email Privacy Act in March:
“We welcome the decision to bring the Email Privacy Act for markup in the House Judiciary Committee, and we are thankful to the Chairman and 308 co-sponsors in the House for their support of this crucial effort to safeguard Americans’ online privacy. We look forward to working with the Committee to continue supporting this legislation and to move a clean bill to the House floor.”
